Since I left GLV, AL and all my friends, there have been
several days. Though only a few days passed, I felt that
one-year's time had passed as though.
I remembered that I hadn't said goodbye to AL. In my opinio,
goodbye may mean the persons who say goodbye to each other
can see each other again some other day. But I said goodbye
to everyone, finally I never have met one for the second
time. So I didn't say goodbye to AL on purpose. I believe
someday I can say hello to AL again. I know AL will believe
so as well. When he came to China, he realized that there's
a thing called lot among us .AL told us that the one thing
which can let us come together was lot.
AL isn't a young man. But I don't like to call him old
man. Because I think AL always looks like a young man
who is handsome and energetic. He told us that we should
never give up our dreams. Only after you think, you can
let your dream come true. The only way to let our dreams
come true is that one brick at a time. I thought AL must
have been to The Great Wall. He told us that The Great
Wall of China was built One Brick At A Time.
Before he came to China, he want to go to a country where
needed teacher. Finally, he chose China. He said he found
that Chinese people were friendly and if the people in
China can speak English fluently, they can be thought
highly than others. How wonderful the thing wasŁ·So he
came to China to teach English since May 2001. He also
told us that he dreamed to be a teacher, and now he got
it. Never say too late. He proved it by his own experience.
One-week's time was so short that we couldn't learn much
from AL in GLV. Just like what AL said, to be a teacher
he couldn't teach his students all, but first he could
teach them how to learn. It was one of the most important
things in the world. Once you have forgotten what you
have learnt, please don't worry about that. It doesn't
matter. Just remember how to learn, that was enough.
AL not only teaches us how to study, but also teaches
us how to be a good person. He liked Mahatma Gandhi very
much. Gandhi liked helping others. When Gandhi dropped
one of his shoes, he threw the other one. Because he considered
if some poor person could find the pair of shoes, he can
wear it as well. As Gandhi was charitable to everyone
especially to the poor, finally he led the poor India
people to a peaceful life. So AL asked us never lose a
chance to help others. When someone helped you, you should
say thanks to him. Maybe later you'll have no chance to
give your thanks to him. If so, how sad you will be! And
if you like someone, please let him know. Do not think
that they have known already. Just tell them that you
like them. Because we all don't know what will happen
tomorrow. 
In the evening before the last day in GLV, we had supper
at AL's home. He taught us how to make pizza. At last,
he said if you made some food with someone, the one would
not forget you. It's true that I won't forget AL, my classmates
and all the time we spent together.
At the last, thanks for AL, my classmates, all the persons
who worked for GLV, and for GLV as well.
