Regulation Regarding Students Under 20

尊敬的家长和学员：
Dear parents and student,

你们好! 
Greetings!

家长对平和英语的信任使我们深感荣幸。为了让您的子女在英语学习上有更大的收获，我们将尽力提供最好的服务。为维护平和英语“浸泡式”纯英语环境，为全体学员提供良好的语言环境，考虑到20岁以下学员对全封闭纯英文教学法的适应性，特制定20岁以下学员就读规定。
We are honored to have your trust in GLV, and we will keep providing the best possible service to help your children improve their English learning even more. In order to maintain the Total Immersion English experience and offer the best environment for language learning, and in light of the needs of students under 20 to adapt to our “English Only” pedagogy, we have established a set of rules for them as follows:

注：如果您的子女在校期间违反了以下规定，学校有权给予口头或者书面警告，若学员在学习期内违反学校规定达到一定程度，校方有权终止其在本校的学习。请您与您的子女详细阅读以下规定。
Note: If by any chance they violate the following rules to a certain degree during their studies, GLV reserves the right to terminate their studies. Please read the following rules carefully:

1、校区内，严禁使用中文；不准使用手机和电子词典；禁止饮酒，禁止吸烟；严禁使用国家法律规定的各类违禁药品；
Chinese is prohibited on campus. No cell phones or electronic dictionaries are allowed. Drinking, smoking and the use of prohibited drugs of any kind is strictly forbidden.

2、积极参与学校安排的课程及活动。不迟到，不早退，认真听讲，按时完成作业等；
Active participation in scheduled classes and activities is required.Take all classes and programs seriously and always finish assigned schoolwork.

3、尊敬老师、员工及同学；爱护学校财产；入校时必须打卡，校区内必须配带学生卡；
Respect teachers, staff and fellow students as well as school property.Check in when entering the school premises and keep your nametag visible while on campus.

4、餐厅是指定的用餐区域，除此之外，校区内任何地方不准用餐；
The dining hall is the only assigned place to have meals.You are not allowed to eat in any other places in our school.

5、严格遵守学校的各项规定，如因违反学校规定私自外出而导致意外事故，后果自负。如需要住宿的，必须严格遵守学校的宿舍规则，如未能遵守宿舍规则而出现任何问题由本人负责；
Strictly adhere to the school rules.You will be responsible for any accidents that happen to you if you violate the school rules of going outside on your own. You must obey the accommodation rules strictly if you want to live in the school dormitory. You will be fully responsible for any trouble you cause by violating the accommodation rules.

6、20岁以下学员凡在就读期间，每得到一次口头或书面警告，教务部门都会找学员谈话。第一次和第二次得到书面警告，学员必须与学校签订书面协议，并以传真或其他方式给家长签名确认。如学员在学习期内得到三个书面警告，校方有权终止其在本校的学习。
Students, who are under 20 years old during their study in GLV, will be spoken to by the Academic Assistance staff if they are absent or disobey the rules and receive verbal or written warnings. Students should sign the “Your Agreement with GLV”.If he/she receives a written warning at first time and second time, an AA will contact his /her parents. The school has right to discontinue a students study in GLV if the student receives three written warnings.

7、根据学校的退费政策，在您完成第一个学期后，不能申请退学，请20岁以下学员及其家长在确定报读学期前及第一个学期内给予考虑。
According to our refund policy,students cannot dropout once they have finished the first session. Please think carefully before you decide when you want to begin your studies.

8、本规定没有涵盖的内容，按学校其他规定执行。
The issues not covered by these rules will be handled according to other policies.
